That's right... California has denied parents their fundamental right to teach their own children without proper certification. If parents are caught teaching their children without the certificate (which is so difficult to attain it has effectively banned it), they will be criminally prosecuted!
Read what the bureaucrats of California have to say about the recent ruling:

“We always think students should be taught by credentialed teachers, no matter what the setting,” Mr. Porter preened.
“California courts have held that ... par­ents do not have a constitutional right to home school their children,” Judge H. Wal­ter Croskey said in the 3-0 ruling issued on Feb. 28. And those parents can be criminally pros­ecuted for failing to comply.
“A primary purpose of the educational system is to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protect­ing the public welfare,” the judge wrote, quoting from a 1961 case on a similar issue.


Did I read that right? LOYALTY TO THE STATE?? What does this sound like? I hope to bring this up at the upcoming meeting this Thursday of "The Failure of Socialism". I encourage any of you to keep an eye out for anything happening to America that is socialist and bring it up at this meeting.
