I took an afternoon this week to document a force on campus which has no voice, no representation, and no vote... the dorm-room window. Considering the circumstances of which they are binded under their presiding tenant, I thought it would be appropriate to welcome their thoughts on the presidential election of 2008. The results follow (click on images to enlarge):
Nye Hall: A strong and unanimous support for GOP candidate McCain can easily be spotted on Nye, without a single vote going towards presidential candidate Obama.Nye Count:
Mccain - 5
Obama - 0
Argenta Hall: The Argenta dorm window precinct reported in with mixed support of both candidates, and the vote for the president was split with a tie!
Argenta Count:
McCain - 3
Obama - 3
Canada Hall: The Canada Hall window citizenry only voted once for Democratic candidate, Obama. Canada Count:
McCain - 0
Obama - 1
Juniper Hall: Although being a minority of the window populace here at UNR, Juniper hall found an opportunity to voice support to McCain.
Juniper Count:
McCain - 1
Obama - 0
Lincoln Hall: Lincoln Hall windows were happy to present to me their choice for president of the United States: McCain.Lincoln Hall:
McCain - 1
Obama - 0
Unfortunately, White Pine and Sierra Hall windows were quite apathetic with their choice for president, but I suspect as the general election approaches, window voices will be heard.
There you have it ladies and gentleman, with the final vote count of the entire dorm room window populace on campus at:
McCain - 11
Obama - 4
... it can now be concluded that if dorm windows could vote, John McCain would be the leader of the free world for this upcoming election. Another survey will be conducted 1 week prior to the election, and we shall discover the voice of the most ignored and useless voice on campus... the dorm-room window.
As a side note, can anyone tell me who is pictured in this window?
